Great old time "hamburger stand." They have many other items on their menu. Personnel are always cheerful and helpful.
After a quick day trip to the hill country & headed back to glorious Houston (ugh) - I was craaaaving a burger. Not just any burger, a roadside burger! Roadside diner food just hits different. It's hot, fresh, made to order & has a distinct homemade taste versus your franchised fast food burgers. I had seen Dairy Cone on Apple Maps before & thankfully it pulled up as we were heading home. Husband & I got into a friendly debate over it. I won & he admitted it was a good choice. The food was hot, fresh, and hit the spot with that roadside diner taste.
I was laughing at the name so had to try it- a little out of the way coming back from Houston and it's located in Columbus. It's almost like an old style drive up where you can park your car under an awning then you go up and order at the counter. My husband had the regular cheeseburger with double meat and they will grill the onions for you if you ask. I had the double meat junior cheeseburger but could barely get my mouth around it. Next time, the single patty will be more than sufficient. Dairy cone vs Dairy Queen- I have to say, burgers are better here. Ice Cream was not as creamy. Give it a try, you won't regret it!
